What is reusability?
Reusability is a feature allowing previously completed HireVue OnDemand interviews or assessments to be reused if a candidate has applied to or been invited to participate in multiple similar interviews or assessments.
When would I implement reusability?
It is common for candidates to apply to multiple positions within the same company. Without the reusability feature, candidates must complete a video interview for each position they apply for. This creates a poor candidate experience causing interview fatigue and excess time spent in the process.
If this is a pain point for your company, consider the reusability feature.
How do I get started? What criteria do I need to meet to use the feature?
- You must use position templates. Position templates are used to design interview groups which is the foundation of the reusability feature.
- Reusability is supported with Taleo Enterprise Edition (TEE) Candidate Centric, SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC), iCIMS Prime, SmartRecruiters, PageUp or Kenexa standard integrations, however an integration is not required to use this feature.
- Reusability can be used also with Hiring Assistant to Ondemand video interviewing integration.

Why would I implement reusability?

- Saves candidates time and avoids interview fatigue as they are no longer retaking the same or similar interviews.
User Benefits
- Candidates are considered earlier in the recruitment process as their completed interviews are readily available for recruiters to review and share with evaluators.
- Recruitment time-to-fill decreases as candidates are considered and evaluated earlier in the process.
- Interview-to-hire rate decreases as quality candidates are automatically considered and aligned to the right positions.
- Assessment customers will have a more consistent and reliable scoring system as duplicate candidate scoring is eliminated.
Evaluator Benefits
- Evaluators are able to quickly evaluate candidates earlier in the recruitment process for multiple positions (current and future).
- Candidate video interviews on future job applications are instantly completed when reused. As a result, evaluators (e.g. hiring managers) will have more immediate access to candidate video interviews. Evaluation rates should improve for customers using manual evaluations.
