Question templates can be used when creating a position and managed in the My Company settings. Users with Account Admin access can manage question templates in the My Company settings. To learn more about question templates in a position or in the My Company settings, read each section below:
Using Question Templates
When creating a position click Load from Template in the Questions section to use an existing question template for the position.
When you click Load From Template you will see a list of templates with an option to filter templates. Search for the question template or scroll through the list of templates.
Click on the template you need to see the list of questions. To use the template click Add These Questions.
Tip: If the position is similar to a different position you can load a template and remove any questions that don’t apply.
Creating Question Templates
When you add questions to a position use Save as Template to save your questions as a new question template.
Type in the template name and click Save to save your new template.
Managing Question Templates
In Hirevue, click on your name at the top right of the screen. In the drop down menu click My Company.
Under the Question Templates section click New template to create a new template.
Use Filter templates to search for a specific template or scroll through the list.
Click the pencil icon to edit a template or the x icon to delete a template. Click the template name if you simply want to view the template.
When you edit a template, you can edit the following:
- Template name
- Disable/enable scored questions
- Add, edit, or delete individual questions
Please note: Once you delete a question template there is no way to recover it. If you do delete a question template, find the position that was using the question template and save it as a new template.
