When a candidate submits a CodeVue solution, evaluators can view the test scores and see if the submitted code passes the public and private test cases. Sometimes a candidate might submit a solution that is close to a viable solution, but has a bug that prevents the solution from providing the correct answer. Evaluators can open the code in a temporary editing environment and make small changes to the code to see if the code can then provide the correct answer.
To open the candidate's submitted code in the temporary editor, click Open In Editor.
In the temporary editor, the candidate's submitted code is shown in the left panel. The menu in the right panel has two tabs: Challenge and Test Case Output.
The Challenge tab lists the challenge description, input, output, and the public and private tests used to verify the code.
The Test Case Output tab lists whether the code passed or failed the public and private tests. Expanding the results for each test case lists the input, expected output, and actual output for the test.
Evaluators can make edits to the code, then click Run Test Cases to see if the edits changed the results of the tests.
To exit the temporary code editor, click Back to Evaluation.
Please note: Changes made by an evaluator in the editing window do not change the candidate's score and will not be saved. Any edits will disappear when the evaluator clicks Back to Evaluation.
