Summary
The Candidate Report for Managers is a comprehensive report of candidate’s interview performance. This report gives you the opportunity to see how the candidate performed and help you make your decision with the candidate’s next steps. When you evaluate the candidate in HireVue, you can make and track your decisions. This report allows you to see all the evaluation decisions that were made in one report to help you finalize your decision.
Please note: With HireVue Assessments that measures competencies, this report can help diagnose where the candidate is scoring with each competency.
All of the sections of the report presented in this article may not appear in the report depending on your company’s configurations in HireVue and the configurations for the candidate’s interview. You will only see what was set up for the position.
Additionally, some sections of the report may be limited according to your role and permissions. If you are an evaluator who doesn’t have permission to see other’s evaluation scores, you won’t be able to view the report.
Please note: If you are an evaluator that does not have permission to see the HireVue Assessment score, you will see the report but will not see the HireVue Assessments score in the candidate report.

Overview
The Overview is located in the top section of the report. It includes information like when the candidate applied, which user(s) evaluated the candidate, and the general scores the candidate were given.
In the Overview section, the following information is listed:
- Interview Start and Completed Date
- Interview Status
- Position Title
- Evaluated By: Person(s) who evaluated the interview
- Invited By: Person who invited the candidate to interview
The following scores may be listed:
- Multiple choice
- Evaluation Rating
- Evaluation Recommendation
- HireVue Assessment Score
- Competency Score

Evaluator Summary
The Evaluator Summary includes the evaluators and their email addresses. In a table, the evaluator, recommendation, rating, and the date they completed the evaluation will be listed.
HireVue Assessment Score
If the position is set up with a HireVue Assessment Score, then this section will be listed in the candidate report. This score is presented as a percentile ranking: bottom tier, middle tier, or top tier. The HireVue Assessment Score helps you understand how well the candidate did compared to other candidates who completed an assessment. Below the candidate’s ranking, you can read about the Hirevue Assessment Score and the tier the candidate is ranked in.
Measured Competencies
Positions created with Pre-Built and Custom Assessments that measure competencies with game-based challenges will include a competency score in the candidate report.
The competency score allows you to see how the candidate performed in each competency.
Each competency the candidate was measured for will be listed. When reviewing each competency, you can hover over each of the states (e.g. Novice, Expert, etc.) to understand the candidate’s performance.
In the report, below all of the measured competencies you can read more about the competency score.
CodeVue
If CodeVue questions were added to the position, the candidate’s scores will show in the report.
This section will show the following information:
- The number of tests the candidate passed
- The length of time the candidate took to finish each test
Multiple Choice
If a multiple choice question has been added to the position, the candidate’s scores will show in the report. If the multiple choice is question is weighted, the candidate's score will show as a percentage (EX: 80%). If the question is not weighted, the candidate’s score will show as a fraction (EX: 4/5)
The following information may be listed:
The number of questions the candidate answered correctly out of the total number of questions in the position.
- The average number of questions the candidate answered correctly
To see the candidate’s responses in the evaluator experience, click View Candidate’s Responses.
Rating
When the evaluators complete their evaluation for the candidate, it will show in the candidate report.
The following information will be listed:
- The average rating out of the total rating possible (EX: 4/5)
- A table with the name of the evaluator, the question they rated, their rating, and the date the evaluator submitted their entire evaluation
Please note: This information may vary depending on the configurations for the position. Ratings can be set by either average rating per question or the overall rating for the candidate. The example above shows an average rating per question.
Recommendation
When the evaluators complete their evaluation for the candidate, it will show in the candidate report.
The following information will be listed:
- A graph showing the number of recommendation decisions: yes, maybe, or no
- A table with the name of the evaluator, their recommendation, and the date the evaluator submitted their entire evaluation
Please note: The recommendation options can be yes, maybe, or no depending on the account configurations.
Evaluator Notes
The Evaluator Notes includes the evaluators and the comments they added to the interview evaluation.
In the Evaluator Notes table, the following information will be listed:
- The evaluator
- The question where they listed their notes
- Their comment
- The question rating
- The date the evaluator submitted their entire evaluation
Please note: This section may include multiple tables if the candidate completed a Live interview with multiple sessions.
In the Summary table, the following will be listed:
- The evaluator
- Their submission comment when they submitted their entire evaluation
- The question rating
- The evaluator’s recommendation
- The date the evaluator submitted their entire evaluation
To add notes for your evaluation in the evaluator experience, click Add Notes.
