Self-service email templates allow Account Admins to modify email content sent to candidates and users from the HireVue platform. You can now make changes to email templates on your own in real-time and deploy modified emails the very same day.
Customized Email Templates
Customized email templates are labeled Custom (Legacy) and they cannot be edited in the new self-service email templates editor. When you use the editor you will start editing with the new HireVue system default template, not your customized email template.
If you inadvertently publish a new version of an email template in the editor the new version of the HireVue system default template will be sent instead of the customized email template. To revert back to the customized email template click on the reset icon located in the theme template list.
Your emails are likely customized if they require HTML or other coding, full imagery, custom color, custom fonts, etc. If you would like to make changes to your current customized email templates, contact your Customer Success Partner or the HireVue Support Team.
Editable Email Templates
The following email templates are editable with the new self-service feature:
- On Demand – Candidate Invitation
- On Demand – Candidate Reminder
- On Demand – Candidate Thank You
- On Demand – Invitation to Evaluate
- Live – Candidate Invitation
- Live – Interviewer Invitation
- Live – Candidate Invitation to Self-Schedule
- On-Site – Candidate Invitation
- On-Site – Interviewer Invitation
- OnDemand Evaluation Complete
- OnDemand Interview Complete
- Live Interview Complete
- Live Evaluation Complete
- On-Site Evaluation Complete
- Phone Evaluation Complete
- Event Interview Scheduled
- Event Cancellation
- Event Interview Update
- Event Self-Schedule Invite
- Event Reschedule
The following items can be edited in these email templates:
- Header graphics, logos, and verbiage
- Hyperlinks to the text fields
- Basic text formatting: bold, underline, and italics
- Dynamic content in text fields throughout the email: candidate name, interviewer name, etc.
- Additional paragraphs
The following items cannot be edited in these email templates:
- Contact information for HireVue Customer Support
- Font size, font color, and the visual layout: left justified text vs. center justified, etc.
Features to Note
Reset Action: This option is located in the Actions column in the theme template list. Use it to revert to either the HireVue System default template or the customized email template. Customized email templates are labeled Custom (Legacy).
Reset Draft: This option is located inside the editor. Use it to revert to the most recently published version of the email template or to the HireVue default template.
Compare Languages: Use the compare option to compare the same email template side by side. This is useful when you need to translate the same email template into two different languages.
Preview: Use the Preview option to preview the email template, print a hard copy of the email template and send yourself a test email template.
