To access the interview settings, click on your name at the top of the page and then My Company.
In My Company, click on the Position Settings tab.
Please note: These settings may vary depending on your company’s HireVue account setup.
Calendar Services
Use this section to add and edit your calendar service. A calendar service syncs your calendar with HireVue so HireVue can automatically check your team's availability when scheduling interviews.
To add a calendar service, please reach out to your CSM to work together to set up your calendar. The pencil icon will edit the calendar service and the x icon will remove it.
Custom Fields
Use custom fields to create data specific to your company for positions you create. Custom fields can be created as a text field or drop down option. Click Add Custom Field to create one.
After creating a custom field use the pencil icon to edit the calendar service and the x icon to remove it. To require a field to be filled out, click the box next to Required.
Tip: If you use an ATS use this setting to add a Requisition ID field.
Point of Contact
Use Point of Contact to set a default account point of contact to appear on all positions, or you can create a team specific point of contact. Candidates can use this point of contact for non-technical questions and concerns.
Click Point of Contact Settings to add or edit a point of contact.
You can input the following information for the point of contact: name, phone number, email address, and URL, if applicable. Click the pencil icon to add this information.
Default Country Code
When a candidate phone number is not formatted with a country code, the default code chosen here will be applied to the candidate phone number.
Question Bank
The question bank is a set of predefined questions to use for interviews. Check the box next to one or both of the options (SHL questions and PathPoint questions) to enable the question bank.
Tags
Use tags to organize candidates and positions. To enable, check the option next to Enable tags.
Candidate Visibility
Use candidate visibility to manage which users can see candidates within a position. The option you choose will default on all positions created. You can limit candidate visibility to users on the account, users in the same team, or only users with access to the position.
Select the box next to Disable editing this setting on the position page if you don’t want position creators to have access to change this setting.
OnDemand Interviews
Set which teams have access to specific types of OnDemand interviews. To change this setting click OnDemand Access.
Allow “Special Accommodation”? refers to the 508 WCAG compliance to allow users with disabilities adequate time to complete their OnDemand interview.
Under On Demand Interview Type, choose which On Demand interview type to allow:
- Audio Only means the OnDemand interviews created will only record audio and not video.
- Audio & Video means the OnDemand interview created will record both audio and video.
- Allow All will allow the user creating the position to decide between audio only and audio & video.
- Disabled means that team will not be able to create OnDemand interviews.
Live Video Interviews
Set which teams have access to specific types of Live interviews. Click Live Video Interviews enable or disable Live interviews for a specific team.
Within the Live Video Interviews settings, you will see the following options:
Live Video Interviews: Choose Enabled or Disabled to enable or disable live interviews by team.
Audio Connection: Audio Connection refers to the audio option in the Live interview. You can choose to set the Live interview audio through a phone as a dial-in interview, through a computer’s microphone and speakers, or allow all. Selecting allow all will allow the user creating the position to choose either phone or mic and speakers.
Please note: If phone is chosen the participant and the candidate will need to use a phone for the audio portion of the interview and a computer for the video portion of the interview. A dial-in number and instructions are included in their invitation emails and the interview.
Interview Recording: Interview Recording can be set as non-recorded, recorded, or allow all. Selecting allow all will allow the user creating the position to choose either non-recorded or recorded.
Chat: Chat refers to the chat option in the Live interview. You can set chat as non-recorded, recorded, or chat disabled.
Webcam Required: Choose whether or not a webcam is required for the interview. You can set webcam required as required for none, required for all, or required for candidates only.
On-Site Interviews
Choose which teams have access to create on-site interviews. This interview type is useful for scheduling interviews on-site.
Phone Interviews
Choose which teams have access to create phone interviews. This interview type is useful for scheduling interviews conducted over the phone.
Event Interviews
Choose which teams have access to create event interviews. This interview type is useful for scheduling several candidates into separate time blocks for hiring events, career fairs, or assessment centers.
On Demand Interview Retries
Choose the default number of retries for video questions in a candidate’s interview by team. Click Number of Retries Allowed and select disabled, one, two, three, four, five, or unlimited retries.
Custom Email Sender Display Names
Choose the display name for emails sent from HireVue by team.
To the right of each team input the email sender display name.
Shareable Interview Link
Shareable Interview Link is a public sign-up link available for all interview types (OnDemand, Live Video, On-site, Phone, and Event). Click on Shareable Interview Link Access to enable shareable interview links by team. The option enable social sharing options allows the link to be shared on social networks.
To enable click the checkbox to the left of each option.
Screen Sharing
Screen sharing questions allow the candidate to share their screen to answer the interview question. Choose which teams have access to screen sharing questions by team. These questions are only available for OnDemand interviews.
CodeVue
Choose which teams have access to CodeVue. CodeVue questions are included in OnDemand interviews. Live Coding is included in Live interviews for the candidate to work on as they interview with the participant(s).
