The following interview statuses will appear from when the candidate's interview is created in HireVue to when the candidate's interview is completed or archived. In the table, each status will list the interview type that uses the status.
Please note: The statuses Invited and Scheduled were formerly known as the interview status Not Started.

| Not Invited | OnDemand, Live, On-Site, Phone, and Event | Candidate's interview has been created in HireVue but no interview invitation has been sent. |
| Invited | OnDemand | Candidate has been sent an invitation to do an OnDemand interview. |
| Awaiting Self-Schedule | Live, On-Site, Phone, and Event | Candidate has been sent a self-schedule invitation but has not selected a time for their interview. |
| Scheduled | Live, On-Site, Phone, and Event | Candidate has been sent an invitation for their interview with a scheduled interview time or the candidate self-scheduled their interview. |
| In Progress | OnDemand, Live, On-Site, Phone, and Event | The candidate has started their interview but has not completed it. |
| Processing | OnDemand and Live | The interview is completed but the video is being processed. |
| Completed | OnDemand, Live, On-Site, Phone, and Event | The interview is completed and if there is a video, it is ready to be viewed. |
| Canceled | Live, On-Site, Phone, and Event | A candidate invited to self-schedule their interview has canceled their interview from the self-schedule page. |
| Archived | OnDemand, Live, On-Site, Phone, and Event | The interview has been archived, which means it is inactive and the candidate will not show in the active candidate list. |
Custom Candidate Management Statuses
Account admins can create custom interview statuses to manage candidates in HireVue. The following custom candidate management statuses are default statuses created with a new account, and they can be removed.
- In Review: The candidate's interview is currently being reviewed.
- On Hold: The candidate is currently on hold.
- Hired: The candidate has been hired.
