Best Practices for HireVue Live Users
What can I do to ensure our internal process is ready to implement or expand HireVue Live?
Ensure all training or candidate facing documentation is up-to-date, including requirements or company point of contact for the HireVue support team. Confirm that positions are assigned to current employees and not assigned to employees no longer with the company.
Ideally this should be checked every quarter to ensure your team is up-to-date with the HireVue platform and the support team has the most accurate point of contact.
How many people can be on a Live interview at once?
Eight people can be included on a Live interview at one time - seven participants and one candidate.
Can more than three people interview a candidate?
When creating a Live interview, users can add multiple sessions with up to seven interviewers per session. The sessions can be scheduled at the time most convenient for the interviewers, and the sessions do not need to be consecutive.
What is the maximum number of participants in a single interview?
Up to seven participants can be added to a single interview simultaneously. If more than seven people are needed to interview a candidate, participants can exit the interview to allow another participant to enter.
Can candidates have interviews scheduled at the same time for the same position if they are interviewing with different participants?
Yes. Since each candidate has their own interview ID specific to their Live interview, there can be multiple candidates from the same position scheduled at the same time if they are interviewing with different participants.
How does a HireVue Live interview account for time zone differences?
Live interview times are configured from the time zone of the position creator. The verbiage in all email invitations and reminders will appear in the position creator's time zone. However, once the candidate has accepted or scheduled their interview, the interview on the candidate's calendar will be updated to reflect their time zone.
Please include verbiage in the email correspondence instructing the candidate to pay close attention to listed time zones when scheduling their Live interview.

How can I test my connection prior to the Live interview?
You can test your connection here. Testing your system prior to the interview is important to catch any errors that may occur. It's best to get in the habit of making time to test your system and connection prior to the interview so you have time to troubleshoot or contact the HireVue Support Team.
If you experience a connection error, contact our 24/7 support team by clicking the Support bubble in the lower left corner of your screen in the community, or by calling 800.655.4106 x 1.
