HireVue Builder is a new product that allows admins to quickly select competencies, interview questions, and evaluation criteria to create an OnDemand position template that facilitates structured and consistent interviews.
To create a structured interview using HireVue Builder, first, create a position template by clicking Templates then Create New Template.
Add a Template Title and choose the team under Team Access, then click Save and Continue. The position is now saved in draft mode. The rest of the position details can be configured using the menu on the left.
In the Questions tab click the toggle switch for Turn on HireVue Suggested Questions. This will turn on the Evaluator Rating (Per Competency), Job Level, and Job Role settings.
Please note: HireVue Builder requires a subscription. If you do not have the option to toggle on HireVue suggested questions, please reach out to your Customer Success Director to discuss this product.
Evaluator Rating
In the Rating Method field, choose Per Question with Competencies.
Job Level
Select the experience level for the position. The options for this field include:
- Entry Level
- Early Career/Graduate
- Mid Career
- Experienced Professional
- Supervisor/Manager
Job Role
Use this field to search for the job role for the position.
Once a job role is select the HireVue suggested competencies and questions will populate. Competencies are listed by interview and question level. To see other questions that evaluate the same competency choose Show alternate suggestions.
Questions can be edited by clicking the pencil icon or deleted by clicking the trash can icon.
Please note: While users have the ability to edit questions, HireVue's recommendation is to leave the questions as-written. The questions have been created by IO psychologists and other third parties to ensure they are fair for all candidates and properly address the selected competency.
