Competency information used while evaluating an interview:
Competency Name and Description
The name and description of the skill, ability, or personal attribute you are assessing that contributes to employee performance. An example could be “Adaptability”.
Link or Uploaded File with More Information
You may want to upload a link or file if you have examples or have any extra competency information for an evaluator to refer to. If you attach a pdf, jpg, etc clicking this “View more information” link will open that file in another tab. If you attach a link then clicking this “View more information” link will open that link in a new tab.
Rating Scale Label and Description
A label and description to help evaluate a candidate in this competency. For example, a 3-star rating could be labeled “Intermediate” with the description “Consistently demonstrates competency or ability, but may require assistance in more difficult situations.”
When managing your competency library in My Company, adding information to the line numbered 1 is the information for a 1-star rating. The line numbered 2 holds information for a 2-star rating. This continues where each numbered line holds the information for the corresponding star rating.

Competency Library
You will see all of the competencies that you can access here. On a position template you will be able to access either HireVue Competencies or Custom Competencies, but not both. “Interview Level” Competencies do not have associated questions and will be measured on every competency-based question. (No competencies are measured on non-competency questions.) “Question Level” Competencies are only measured on their associated questions.
