This error could be caused by one of the options below:
- The user trying to send the request from your integration system does not have an account set up in HireVue.
- The user trying to send the request from your integration system has login credentials in the integration system that do not match an account in HireVue.
There are two ways to resolve this error:
- Create an account for the user.
- Adjust the user’s login credentials to match in HireVue.
Follow these steps to troubleshoot:

In HireVue, click on the person icon in the top right corner and choose User Administration.
- In User Administration, search the user’s name.
Please note: If you are unable to find the user by searching their name, search for any email address they may have. If the user does not exist, you will need to create a new account for the user. For instructions on how to create a new user, click here.
3. When their name appears, click on their name to see the email address associated with their account.
4. If the email address in HireVue does not match the email address in the integration system, reach out to the user to change their email address.
Please note: If your company uses a single sign-on service to log in to HireVue, your company, typically someone in your IT department, will need to change the email address associated with their HireVue account.
