You may see this error because the user who sent the request from your integration system is not assigned to the team that the position is assigned to in HireVue.
For example: If User A is listed on the Finance team in HireVue, and the position is listed on the Human Resources team, this error will occur.
Two ways to resolve the error:
- the user will need to be added to the same team as the position
- the position will need to be moved to a team that the user is currently listed on
We recommend the lowest effort solution, which is adding the user to the same team as the position.
Follow these steps to troubleshoot:
- At the top of your screen in HireVue, click Positions.
- Search the position title.
- When it appears, click on the position’s title.
- In the position, find the Team field.
After confirming the team, click on the person icon in the top right corner and choose User Administration.
- In User Administration, search the user’s name.
- The team will be listed next to the user’s name.
- If the teams do not match, click on the pencil icon to the far right to edit the user’s level of access.
- Click into the Team Admin field and select the appropriate team in the drop down.
Please note: Since the user likely did not create the position, they will need Team Admin access on the appropriate team to have the correct permissions.
10. Click Save.
